My name is Renaud (Reno for my friends) and i write to you from Brussels, in Belgium (Europe). I’m 30 years old, and i work for my municipal authorities (in social assistance). I created Damn Receipt for this reason :I love creating original, totally bizarre, powerfull and strange methods to promote websites on the web...something that can cause a "buzz phenomenon" on internet. It’s why i have imagined Damn Receipt, a new kind of "viral marketing" concept. In general, people like what is uncommon and very strange...so, this blog can be a good example of what is made on internet (in this category)...
My concept is based on humor, originality, and made without pretension. The goal is to experiment a new marketing concept and to attract new advertisers. If it works : i'm what we call a little genius :-) joke (-: ...and advertisers are the big winners in terms of website promotion. If it doesn't work : it's not the end of the world...
The concept :
Do you have a damn shopping receipt in your pocket or wallet ? Do you want to find a generous advertiser who will accept to refund it to you for promotional reasons ?

- Take a close-up photo of your receipt (or better, scan it).
- Don't hesitate to personalize your receipt (drawings, personal annotations,...) in order to catch attention on it. But don't forget : the amount AND the currency (write it on the receipt if necessary) must stay legible.
- Own a Paypal account (all payments are made through Paypal).
- Email your photo and your Paypal email address to damnreceipt@gmail.com.
Participate to this project as often as you want. All types of receipts with any amount on them are accepted : shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, fuel station, entertainment, and so on...
If you are an advertiser and if you want to reimburse a receipt (direct marketing approach/making happy people), please feel free to contact me at coolreceipt@gmail.com.
- Specify in your email what receipt you want to refund and I will give you the corresponding Paypal email address for the payment.
- Once payment is made, email me your Paypal payment proof + your logo (will be uploaded on my blog with the small size option) + your link and a SHORT description if you want.
- This is the amount you paid that will focus attention on you : of course high refunds will catch more attention than the low ones.
- Your logo (will link back to your website) will be posted on my homepage. All logos are placed on my homepage from the newest one to the oldest one.
- Your logo and the corresponding refunded amount will be visible on the homepage of Damn Receipt during minimum 15 days.
- After 15 days, your logo can be archived at any moment.
- You may participate as often as you want.
- Once payment is made, advertisers cannot get a refund.
- I'm the only owner of this blog. No illegal/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted. I reserve the right to remove your logo/link from my blog if you don't respect this rule. Thank you.
